In the 7th Grade, students are required to take a Civics course. This course covers Functions and Organizations of Government, Origins of the American Political System, Roles, Rights and Responsibilities of U.S. Citizens, and Methods of Active Participation in our Political System. The Civics course will culminate in an End of Course Exam(EOC). The students final grade in the class will be composed of their 4 nine weeks grades consisting of 70% of their finale grade for the year and their EOC score consisting of 30% of their final grade for the year. Students will receive practice and review for this exam throughout the 2013-2014 school year. The exam will be computer based and administered in late April 2014. It is imperative that parents/guardians have a discussion with their student(s) concerning the importance of this exam.
