Learning Goals
Students will understand the roles, rights, and responsibilities of United States Citizens and be able to demonstrate active participation in society, government, or the political system and provide a narrative of their
experiences.
Content Standards
SS.7.C.2.3:Experience the responsibilities of citizens at the local, state, or federal levels.
(Remarks/Examples: Registering or pre-registering to vote, volunteering, communicating with government officials, informing others about current issues, participating in a political campaign/mock election.)
SS.7.C.2.12:Develop a plan to resolve a state or local problem by researching public policy alternatives, identifying appropriate government agencies to address the issue, and determining a course of action.
SS.7.C.2.14:Conduct a service project to further the public good. (Remarks/Examples:The project can be at the school, community, state, national, or international level.)
